The Humanitarian Campaign themed “Behind My Smile” is a week-long campaign highlighting humanitarian issues in Malaysia, organized by U-SCHOS, Hands of Hope, Refuge for the Refugees and The Good Tavern which consists of 3 major events:
(i) Humanitarian Conference
(ii) Poverty Simulation

(iii) Musical Concert

With the objective of raising awareness towards humanitarian issue that is happening in Malaysia and to gather like-minded individuals and organisations and brainstorm sustainable solutions to the humanitarian issues in Malaysia. All funds raised will goes to the education of children from marginalised groups living below the poverty line.

“Charity Musical Concert: A Journey for Hope”

is a play that illustrate the story of hardships, resilience and hope amount the marginalised communities living in poverty, with a special focus on refugees. The story looks into the life of refugee and victims of war that are happening today. From a small kid to elderly and soldier, it depicts the aftermath of a what, how it happened, what they need to go through and what lies in their future.

Highlight of the event:

First half of the musical – A play featuring the journey of a refugee from their home country. Going through agents of human trafficking that scams them, the pain of losing a family to war, and their struggle to adapt to a new home country.
Second half of the musical – Performance by each school and combine of them. Represents their hope and persistence to survive and change their lives for the better.
